Young Volunteers for the Environment Somaliland is a youth-oriented, non-profit environmental organization advancing sustainable development through youth leadership, community participation, environmental action, advocacy, education and partnerships.
Based in Burao, Togdheer, YVE Somaliland creates opportunities for young people to participate meaningfully in addressing environmental and development challenges.
We recognize that climate change and environmental degradation affect far more than ecosystems. They affect water, food, livelihoods, health, migration, economic opportunity, equality and the future prospects of communities. For this reason, our work connects environmental protection with human development.
